• The vessel provides logistical support vessel but is also involved in Oceanographic research
• Currently on a year Global expedition travelling into the Pacific and Australia
• Embark scientists to conduct research on coral sites
• Hyperbaric chamber / Nitrox installation / opportunities to dive on location
• Various tenders & watersports equipment which the 4/E is jointly responsible for maintaining with the 3/E
• Cessna Caravan Seaplane that can be recovered out of the water
• Nationality of the crew is Indonesian, Malaysian
• Officer's nationality is British, Irish, and South African
You will take on the role of relief 3/E in the 3rds absence.
Good opportunities for promotion within the Fleet depending on certification level.

2 paid return flights per year, normally take 5-1

Brief summary of his normal duties and responsibilities
• UMS OOW duties in port & at sea
• General ER cleaning and painting
• Fitting and turning tasks
• Bunkering operations/spill response
• Firefighting duties, emergency response
• Routine tasks eg. Tank dips, safety routines etc
• Assist engineers in plant maintenance
• Launching/recover tenders
• Tender service & maintenance, flushing, oil changes etc.
• Assist with deck maintenance as required
The 4th engineer position is the most junior engineer position within our fleet. The majority of daily tasks will be general cleaning and painting of the engine room spaces and machinery. There will be opportunities to assist engineers in more technical based tasks and to gain more experience in these areas but please be aware that primary objectives for the 4th are to maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the engine room.
Requirements: OOW/Y4, valid STCW's, C1D visa.
