Over the years, Ridestore has pioneered innovation and quality, with our brands Dope (https://www.dopesnow.com/) and Montec (https://www.montecwear.com/), soaring over the world. Our passion for delivering the best remains unchanged, and we're always looking to improve. Nhina, who's fantastic (and one of our current Pattern Makers), is moving on to a new position internally, which means we're looking for someone who can fill her shoes as a full-time pattern maker. We're looking for a skilled person to enhance our design processes and bring ideas to (virtual) life.

In the short term, we want you to get to know the team, the company, and our products. The best way to learn our way of doing things will be to dive right into the role where you will ensure impeccable fit for specific projects and products.

In the longer term, we want you to take charge of fit-centric projects. Think simplification, effectiveness, and modernization. Participate in transformative projects like block pattern designs, product development, and evaluating innovative digital tools.

HOW A DAY IN YOUR SHOES MIGHT LOOK

• Orchestrating fittings with models and collaborating with the product team

• Engaging in daily dialogues with factories and our team concerning patterns

• Utilizing tools like Clo3D and Adobe Illustrator

• Running pattern projects from conception to presentation

• Crafting patterns and updating specific styles in Clo3D

To love this job, you must have excellent communication skills to work with the team and our factories in Asia. You're self-driven and take the helm of your projects, where you manage your priorities and always keep an eye on the deadlines. You are adaptable and open-minded, ready to engage in our dynamic world. You're detail-oriented, where a microscopic view of products is crucial, but so is understanding the grand scheme. And most importantly, we want to work with the smartest and most humble people we can find. We find it more fun this way. So we hope you like the concept of having fun.

WHAT WE HOPE YOU HAVE IN YOUR BACKPACK

• Experienced user of Clo3D

• Digital pattern-making skills in e.g. Clo3D, Gerber, and Lectra

• Experienced in Adobe Illustrator

• Experienced in Google Workspace - especially Sheets

And you get bonus points for:

• Experience in outerwear/ski wear design

• Experience working with Asian factories and suppliers

While the world of Ridestore is spread over many countries, for this role, being present at our only office (https://career.ridestore.com/pages/gothenburg) in Gothenburg a minimum of three times a week is essential as our production team is based there.

We'll not only offer you a competent and fun team to work with, but we're also offering a culture where we want you to be yourself, where you can grow and learn and have the flexibility to design your work in line with your lifestyle.

Application Pro-tip
Do not put any effort into writing a cover letter before applying; instead, you will get to write answers to some questions that we find interesting for this role! And please, write it yourself; we love to use AI tools, but in this case, we want to see the real person. Good luck, and have fun.

We are looking forward to seeing you in the process!
