We are looking for a 3D Data Preparation Artist to join our team of creatives. Your job is to ensure we have a solid product dataset foundation to create photorealistic visualizations for configurators, animations and images that meet today's needs and future demands. You will be a valuable part of our team and play an essential role in our deliveries. Exciting? We think so.

We are a fast-moving company, and we are now looking for someone who is motivated and focused on digital product dataset creation to link our pipeline together. In this role, you will gather, organize, and clean up digital models according to given standards. With an eye for detail, you know what is expected to create accurate datasets for high-end productions. You cherish the process as well as the finish line and find joy in building digital datasets connected to workflows and pipelines for next-gen 3D productions.

Communication with co-workers and clients is an integral part of this job as well as a structured work method. We offer a flexible workplace, meaning part-time remote work is possible. However, it is important that you can commute to our studio in Gothenburg city center or that you can relocate.

Key roles and responsibilities:


Build up a solid product dataset creation process in digital twin creation to enable for high end quality production in configurators, animations and images that meet today's needs and future demands.

• Utilise 3D modeIs received in different CAD or data exchange formats like CATparts, fbx, obj, step or other, process it and build up product visualisation master modeIs with surface materials in Cinema4D.

• Set data preparation workflow with best practices of gathering, organizing and clean up CAD models.

• Work with UV unwrapping, shadows and normals baking, materials assignments, hierarchies, and scene tree management.

• Handling textures and shaders, sometimes the whole chain from scanning to ready-to-use textures.

• Create basic models.

• Explore the usd format as data delivery format and use it on NVIDIA Omniverse platform to connect and build streamlined content creation.

• Optimize data for different type of interactive 3D experiences.

• Providing insights, implementing, and coming up with ideas together with the team.

• Document processes.

• Making sure the production runs as planned, foreseeing issues, and solving these together with the project managers.

• Taking responsibility to meet project deadlines.

• Creatively solving your tasks, whilst maintaining strict attention to detail.

• Keeping up with current technology trends and tools (both hardware and software).

Preferable experience and skills:

• 3+ years of experience in 3D productions as a Data Preparation Artist, or similar.

• 3+ years of experience with 3D software like Cinema4D, Maya or Blender.

• Advanced skills in data preparation workflow with best practices of gathering, organizing and clean up CAD models.

• A mindset setting up non-destructive workflow and automated processes.

• Experience working with UV unwrapping, shadows and normals baking, materials assignments, hierarchies, and scene tree management.

• Experience in using a CAD data preparation & optimization software tool like InstaLOD or Pixyz.

• Interest in USD and Omniverse.

• A big plus if you know how to create low-poly models optimized for interactive 3D experiences like WebGL, Unreal or Unity.

• A big plus if you know how to model soft parts and details in Cinema4D, Maya or Blender.

• A big plus if you know how to script in Python.

• Experience collaborating on multi-disciplinary teams.

• Experience communicating with team members.

• Collaborate with and assist our managers and artists on data workflow improvements.

• The ability to multitask and prioritize your work on a long-term basis as well as on a day-to-day level.

• Anticipate potential technical limitations & develop innovative solutions.

• Process skilled.

• Strong discipline in file structuring with clear naming.

• Motivation to learn and develop your skills.

• Fluent in English.
