We're located in Gothenburg and backed by Coffee Stain. Our team has over 30 years combined game dev experience and each member of our team comes from a different background.
We each bring something unique to the table and we have a passion for sharing stories. We make games around the idea of novel fun for our players; we craft emergent experiences in stylized worlds supported by system-driven gameplay. As 3D Character Artist at Box Dragon, you'll help bring our original world to life in our painterly, stylized and dark art style.
We're a small team, so you will have the opportunity to express yourself in your work and hone your craft by working on a wide variety of challenges.
This is a permanent full-time in-studio position based in Gothenburg, Sweden. Kindly submit a demo reel or portfolio with your application.
Responsibilities
Work closely with the art director to realize and iterate on the game's stylized, dark, and painterly look
Create stylized 3D models, textures, and materials in Unreal Engine's PBR workflow
Push the look of our 3D characters
Requirements
Experience in game development
Excellent grasp of 3D asset creation for physically-based renderers
Proven proficiency creating stylized textures and materials
Familiarity with common tools of the trade: modeling tools, game engine, source control.
Excellent communication skills in English, our company language, which will enable you to collaborate effectively with your peers
