We are growing and are currently in the search for a talented horse artist to join our Horse & Player team. Become part of our journey and help us make the island of Jorvik even more magical! Alongside Designers, Animators, QA and stakeholders, you will contribute with a variety of high-quality horses to our MMORPG Star Stable Online.
We care deeply about our player community so we place an extra-strong emphasis on designing for fun, accessibility, and sustainability, while always considering our core values and responsibility to our ever-growing player base.
As a 3D artist at Star Stable you will:
• Create horses, animals, horse tack and player gear for Star Stable Online while working towards Art Direction's vision.
• Take part in numerous updates and projects and see first hand how the players react to the art you created for them.
• Work with our inhouse game-editor, implementing horses and assets.
• Work cross-functionally, collaborating and communicating across the organization.
• Become part of an organization with a 50/50 gender division!
We are looking for someone who:
• Has more than two years of experience working as a 3D artist in the game industry.
• Has good knowledge of Autodesk Maya and Photoshop.
• Is creative and has a problem-solving mindset.
• Is fluent in English (both written and spoken)
• Is used to working with feedback, know the importance of sharing work in progress and communicate with stakeholders.
• Has experience in creating stylized/hand-painted assets.
• Can adjust and adapt to an existing and evolving art style.
• Has good knowledge of animal anatomy.
It's considered a plus if you also have experience with:
• ZBrush
• 3DCoat
• Substance painter
• Horses (riding styles, breeds, equipment, etc.)
