Role description
As a Software Function Developer - VDS, you will be part of an agile scrum development team that delivers the next generation steering control for the Volvo Dynamic Steering system. You will utilize advanced control theory, model based development (MBD) process with Matlab/Simulink and methodologies for Safety-Critical embedded systems.
Your job tasks will range from research, early design, implementation, and function testing both in simulated environments as well as in vehicles.

Who are you?
To be successful in this position you need to be open minded, driven and passionate about problem solving. You should enjoy working within a tight Agile team environment as well as an ability to work independently and manage your own developments.
We want you to minimum have a master's degree in a relevant educational field. A Ph.D. is seen as merit.

You should have documented experience and advanced knowledge in Mechatronics and System Safety.
You must be proficient in English, both written and spoken and have a valid driver's license.
Other qualifications:
In-depth technical knowledge in advanced control theory
Experience of software development within Matlab/Simulink environment
Experience of functional development according to ISO26262
Knowledge about AUTOSAR architecture and development
Ability to analyze and solve complex problems
Communication and presenting skills both in text and verbally
Sense of responsibility
Business and customer oriented
Truck driver's license is a merit.
