Based in Stockholm, Sweden, Vix Technology (Scandinavia) AB 's regional centre in Scandinavia covering the nearby countries, has been a major provider of ticket systems for more than 20 years. The Scandinavian office provides upgrades, maintenance and operational support of the ticket systems delivered to the two largest public transportation companies in Sweden, SL (Stockholm Public Transport) and VT (Västtrafik), as well as for other systems supplied in Scandinavia.
The Scandinavian team is a group of 24 skilled people, with 18 in Stockholm (Globen), 5 in Gothenburg and one in Oslo. Most of the field service is performed by subcontractors.
2nd line production support
The position is a second line support meaning problem solving mainly in software.
Configuration and maintenance of Linux server
Required:
Very good knowledge about IT and infrastructure
Support experience of both SW and HW
Programming skills (Perl, Python or similar)
Good knowledge in Windows and Solaris, SQL and databases
Experience from releases and testing
Preferred: Itil cert.
