PDU Platform is a unit containing core assets in telecom platforms and common modules used for WCDMA, MGW, GSM and LTE. The major platforms within the unit are CPP, RCS and BBI containing both the execution environment, middleware and software tools for development and trouble shooting. Key components developed by CPP are the control system, network synchronization, switching, signaling and transport over IP and ATM.

The PDU is a global organization with people in Kista, Croatia, India, Russia and China.

The sector Maintenance and System Verification is responsible to verify and support most of the platforms used within WCDMA, LTE and M-MGw. We are among other things responsible for verification of CPP parts which are the platform for EVO and RNC 3820 controller. Other areas were we contribute is SMBB Smart Mobile BroadBand, where exciting applications are moving into our products.

We have the responsibility to verify the quality and characteristics of the products and to make sure that the customers will be satisfied. When the products have been released our maintenance and support responsibility includes many challenging customer interactions. Our core competence is the product, how it behaves, how you handle it, how the customers use it and how to troubleshoot.

Job description

We now seek experienced Java SW developers to strengthen our JCAT test automation team. We are looking for persons that are highly interested and experienced in Java Development and especially in the Test Automation area. We use Agile WoW and the test automation team uses Scrum. The JCAT framework is used and adapted to the test needs of the products we develop (CPP, NCI, ERIemu).

You will be involved in activities such as:
• Requirements analysis
• Definition of SW architecture for the test automation frame work
• JCAT adaptations, development and test
• TR corrections
• CR implementation
• Education of testers in the Java/JCAT area

You should have a B. Sc. Or M. Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Data Communication or equivalent academic degree.

Qualification (formal education needed):
• M. Sc. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or similar
• Excellent Java programming skills
• At least 5 years of experience in SW development
• Good communication skills
• Have an interest to constantly learn and share your new findings
• Open minded and analytical capability
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken
• Good understanding of Telecom Networks
• Ability to work in teams but also ability to take initiative and work independently when needed
It is also desirable to have:
• JCAT knowledge
• Experience from RNC, Mgw, RBS or LTE
• Knowledge of the following protocols IP, UDP, RTP, GTP-U, SCTP, RSTP, IPSec, ATM, SS7
• Hands on knowledge of IP equipment such as routers and switches.
