We currently have the following job opening;
Workshop Technician - Mechanical Propulsion Systems
The Powertrain Engineering unit at CEVT is responsible for the development of transmissions and electric propulsion systems and the controls associated with these systems. The transmission team is responsible for the development of new global transmissions from the early concept phase to industrialization. These transmissions will be the main technology for the Geely group.
We are looking for a technician to our transmission mechanical workshop which has been established as a local workshop for the development team in Sweden. It is a workshop where standardized disassembly and assembly work of the transmission will be done as well as different kind of specialized mechanical work including welding, turning, cutting etc. as a preparation for advanced development work. Activities on vehicles will also be required.
Responsibilities and tasks
- Assemble and disassemble test transmissions
- Continuously develop methods and tools for assembling and disassembling transmission
- Install transmissions units into vehicle and test benches
- Organize activities in transmission mechanical workshop
- Modify hardware for special development activities
- Assist in installing sensor and measurement equipment on transmission or vehicle/test bench
- Operate smaller test benches
Requirements
- Several years of mechanical workshop experience
- Experience from automotive development, car and/or test bench
- Being capable and comfortable to independently plan daily work
- Skills in welding, turning and cutting
- Experience from work on electronics and electrical components is an advantage.
- Valid driver's licence
- Good level of English language
