The position is a (Senior) Research Engineer position in the one of the application sections within the Bioprocess media department in R&D.
Essential Responsibilities
The section is working with downstream purification processes of antibodies and antibody fragments. High throughput techniques and statistical tools are used to explore and optimize the processes, aiming at robust, scalable processes, with high yields. We also have a responsibility for advanced analytical methods such as LC-MS This position is created to increase the capability in the section to develop and perform protein analysis. The techniques used include Elisa, Biacore, Electrophoresis, DSC, Gyrolab, Chromatographic methods as well as LC/MS. Statistical tools are used for data evaluation and results are documented in technical reports. The work is mostly performed as an interdisciplinary team work and thus the position also includes responsibility for the analytical parts in projects including coordination and planning.
Qualifications/Requirements
Masters degree in biochemical engineering, biochemistry, analytical chemistry or related field preferably with industrial experience from protein analysis.
Experience from laboratory work in the area of protein analysis, preferably antibodies and relevant impurities
Experience from analytical method development
Experience from working with ÄKTA and UNICORN, Biacore, Gyrolab, Elisa, electrophoresis and LC/MS
Good understanding of cell culture and chromatographic purification work
Fluent in English both verbally and in writing
Comfortable giving conference presentations and customer trainings as well as writing scientific publications

Experience from Design of Experiment (DoE) tools
Experience from work with high-throughput tools for chromatographic separations.
