hela Sverige We have an open temporary positon (01 July 2016 ? 30 Apr 2016) and to meet the increasing demand of tasks we are seeking a Research Engineer or a Senior Research Engineer to the Applications & Processes section for research, development and market support activities. The position is focused on cell culture processes and applications from seed train to pilot scale cultures in bioreactors.
Essential Responsibilities
Responsible for development and improvement of processes and products for upstream bioprocessing applications and biopharmaceutical manufacturing.
Responsible for planning/designing, executing and analysing experiments supporting general R&D activities including R, D and Market Support projects.
The work is performed within the scope of different projects with research, development and/or market support focus.
Experiments and investigations will primarily be performed in a bioprocessing laboratory using cell culture based methods.
Responsibilities may also include training others and troubleshooting experiments
Participate in continuous improvement activities by identifying and appropriately escalating process and product quality gaps, providing solutions when possible.

Qualifications/Requirements
University degree in Life Sciences, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biomedical Engineering, or related field.
Solid experience from mammalian cell culture methods and processes.
Solid experience from standard analytical packaged for assessing mammalian cell culture performance/health.
Good general analytical knowledge from the area of biological assays,
Swedish and English as a working language.
Excellent computer skills and ability to work in both common lab/office software plus specific internal systems.
Team player with the ability to work both independently and with others.
Self-propelled, goal-oriented and driven to learn new things.
Flexibility to switch between projects and tasks.
Desired Characteristics
Experience from work with mammalian cell cultures in bioreactor platforms.
Experience from research collaborations.
Experience from development work in biopharmaceutical industry with focus on cell culture and/or process optimization
