Are you our next colleague, who shares our passion to serve the marine market with important and interesting products for safe and sustainable operation?

Berg Propulsion is currently looking for an experienced purchaser of hydraulics transmission and technical components to join our purchasing team.

We welcome you to a growing company where you will join our purchasing team at Operations with responsibility for managing purchases of hydraulics, transmission and technical components from suppliers located mainly in Sweden and Europe.

You will work closely with our contract engineers and production team, managing project and operational purchasing through the design and order process to delivery.

Our company culture is characterized by strong cooperation within the group, but also in the cross-functional teams. As our new purchaser you will manage purchasing activities with focus on maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and internal departments.

Role Description
As a purchaser you will:

• Report to Purchasing Manager Operations

• Take responsibility for the purchasing of project related material based on
customer demands, drawings, material planning and forecast to ensure availability
for our production and assembly lines

• Collaborate with internal departments and external suppliers to ensure material
requirements, needs and schedules

• Prioritize tasks and actions within assigned area to meet overall business goals

• Have the responsibility to ensure continuous improvements to meet and improve
quality, delivery and cost.

Key Responsibilities:

• Secure cost, execute and follow up purchase orders from approved suppliers
based on strategies, project planning, material demands and requirements

• Manage complex purchase orders for Key Components

• Maintain and follow up material demands and forecasted volumes in our ERP
system Monitor

• Cooperate and communicate with production and the project organization
regarding actual material status and deviations

• Contribute to the sourcing processes to improve quality, delivery and cost targets.

• Lead supplier compliance and development activities

• Negotiate and finalize supplier agreements in cooperation with purchasing
manager

• Suggest and lead process related improvements

Background/Experience
You have a college or university degree in Business Administration or corresponding work experience plus a minimum of 5 years' experience in purchasing and order administration

• Structured and organized

• Experience from ERP-systems

• Experience in operating in and managing cross-functional projects

• Fluent in Swedish and English

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
