Do you want to have a strategic position as responsible for the global materials team for steel and heat treatment? This can be a very interesting role for you, having at least a Master in Materials Technology and some experience from leadership. Based in Fagersta, you will be leading a group of materials engineers and technicians developing improved materials solutions for new advanced rock drilling products. We have several R&D and production units, partners and customers around the whole world. Therefore, in this role, you will cooperate and have a lot of contacts globally, both internally and externally.
Tasks
You will be responsible for the global materials team for steel, surface and heat treatment. In this role you will also identify opportunities and build a solid plan for the future. It will be important to identify key areas of competence for the division and develop a suitable team of specialists.
Other major responsibilities are:
• Create and coordinate a global network of relevant material competence for the division
• Develop and safe guard the relevant material competence for the division
• Lead the experimental workshop
• Execute technology studies within the field, according to product development plan
• Drive global standardization of material grades and heat and surface treatment processes
Qualifications
We require that you have a Master or Ph.D. in Materials Technology. We also expect you to have leadership experience and to be fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written. It is pre-requisite to have experience of steel or heat treatment development and, of course it is a plus with experience from the mining and construction industry.
Personal skills
We are looking for a person that is focused on results, with good leading skills and the ability to develop the organization and the team members. You shall be a good communicator, structured and used to create solid technology plans. Also experience from balancing resources in a team to reach targets and keep deadline will be crucial. Last but not least, you have a strong interest in Material Technology and in sharing and applying your expertise.
