We are looking for an Experienced Field Service Engineer for our Nordic service team in GE Healthcare Life Sciences. You will together with your colleagues be responsible for servicing our customer's equipment consisting of liquid chromatography systems, SPR systems & scanners. This also includes performing validation services such as IQOQ. Examples are ÄKTA avant/pure, ÄKTAprocess, Biacore, Typhoon scanners etc.
Essential Responsibilities:
Plan and coordinate activities concerned with installing equipment, investigating and resolving customer reports of technical problems with equipment, and eliminating future operational or service difficulties by performing the following duties:
• Provide advice on the use and care of instruments to customers, maintaining a high level of technical and customer management skill
• Plan & organize preventive maintenance visits & ad hoc visits
• Understand and act per customer specific SLA terms
• Promptly complete and return relevant paperwork (and electronic evidence) associated with service visits and installations
• Maintain a positive and collaborative working relationship with other field service staff and the Sales force to ensure the customer needs are understood and met
• Maintain stocks of useable spares, regularly reviewing the stock to optimize stock holding in keeping with instruments serviced
• Complete allocated jobs in the shortest practical time
• Where work cannot be completed retain ownership to see through to completion and full customer satisfaction
• Ability to work independently and seek information as needed from colleagues and support functions
Qualifications/Requirements:
• Appropriate engineering or scientific education and/ or experience from medical or life science business
• Strong practical experience in life science laboratory/ production environments such as Field Service Engineer
• Experience of working in GxP environments
• Computer skills to include hardware & software
• Excellent communication skills in Swedish and English
• Effective organizational and administrative skills
• Ability to deal professionally with people at all levels of the organization internally and externally
• Willingness to travel ~30%, in the Nordic region
• Current Driving licence
Desired Characteristics:
• Knowledge of GEHC product range
• Computer networking skills
