The Filling Machine Economy General Automation department, within Carton Value & Economy in Lund is a highly dedicated team, responsible for the development of automation solutions in our roll fed filling machines and Downstream Equipment.
In the role as Automation Engineer you will have the opportunity to work with early technology development, product development as well as product life cycle activities. Most of your assignments will include frequent interactions with other people and competence areas such as mechanical designers, system engineers and test engineers.
Main responsibilities
• Design, test and validation of hardware and software for advanced motion solutions
• Testing of automation/mechatronic solutions in both virtual and physical environments
• Scout new technologies for advanced motion solutions
• Documentation of solutions according to specification
• Support and participate in in-house test and field validation at customer site
• Plan, execute and follow-up on the activities above
Qualifications
To be successful in this position we believe that you are a skilled engineer with a strong focus on problem solving, results and quality. It is critical that you are a team player taking an interest in collaborating with others and have the ability to lead and drive activities in your area.
A burning interest in technology and a desire to specialise in the area of automation is key for this position. You are open-minded and possess a strong technical interest and curiosity, together with analytical skills.
For this position, we believe that you have a technical education, preferably a university degree in Electrical, Mechatronics or Applied physics engineering or equivalent, combined with experience from automation design. Practical work experience within automation can compensate for the absence of a university degree.
You have preferably a few years' experience in some, or all of the below technical qualifications:
• Experience of programming and dimensioning of motion control solutions
• Experience from high level programming in object oriented languages such as C++, C# or Java
• Experience from UML and software modelling.
• Experience from PLC, PC based programming (Rockwell, Beckhoff)
A very good command of English, both written and oral is required.
