Ingvar Kamprad discovered that it was challenging to make a good deal with hungry customers. He gave us the important task of strengthening the customer experience with the help of food. Today, IKEA Food is more than just a restaurant in the department store. We know that satisfied customers are satisfied customers.
In the restaurant you get to prepare and serve food to our customers and colleagues. You charge at the checkout and make sure that the dining room is nice and that the dishes are washed. We at Food also meet customers in our Bistro where we serve our famous sausage and in the Swedish Food Market where we sell everything from chips to frozen meatballs. With us, you get to work with one or more of the above tasks. All this, of course, you do TOGETHER with a bunch of wonderful colleagues in an environment where you get the opportunity to further develop your professional skills.

ABOUT THIS AREA OF WORK
To meet our customers' needs, we have varying scheduled working hours, between 07.00-20.45. We work both weekdays, evenings and weekends.
We are looking for you who also want to continue working this autumn and hopefully for a long time to come. The start of employment is in May 2023. An maybe, there may also be an opportunity with an earlier start date.
We are looking for you who want to work:
• 8h/week until further notice, starting in May (v.19, v.20 or v.21). In addition, 25h / week on summer substitute for about 6 weeks during our summer period.
Our summer period extends between weeks 25-35.

Here are the different stages of recruitment:
1. Start by submitting your application. Attach a CV where you tell us what you are doing right now, what possible education you have attended and about your work experience. Instead of a cover letter, we want you to answer some questions in text form that come up automatically when you make your application. Your answers will be important to us in the selection. So take your time and respond from the heart.
2. We know you're more than your resume! Therefore, if you move on to the next step in the process, you will be invited to answer some questions via a video tool. There you record yourself and your answers. We know it can feel scary but it will go as well as it wants! We are only interested in your answers. Not what you have in the background, how you sound or if you have a bad hair day. Invitations to these video questions are made via email and primarily v.8-9.
3. If you go further in this step, we will meet each other at a group interview. Then we get to know each other even better! We will ask you questions and tell you more about IKEA. We plan to conduct these group interviews during weeks 12-13 and we will ask for reference in this step. Invitations to the group interviews are made via email, primarily during weeks 9-10.
4. If you proceed to the last step of our process, then you will receive an offer and sign the employment contract. We look forward having you as an IKEA colleague!
