The position
We offer you a specialized job position in a stimulating environment with engaged colleagues.
The position as consultant/specialist physician in clinical neurophysiology involves performing and interpreting neurophysiological examinations and actively contributing to the clinic's method development. As consultant/specialist physician, you are responsible for conducting and interpreting neurophysiological methods, including neurography, EMG, EEG, intensive care EEG (CFM) and sleep investigations including MSLT. You will actively participate in the clinic's method development and conduct your own research / development work that contributes to the clinical neurophysiology of the future. Furthermore, teaching of ST doctors and medical students is included. As a consultant in neurophysiology, you will provide modern and efficient clinical neurophysiology services at Uppsala University Hospital.

Our department provides most examinations in clinical neurophysiology, including EEG, long-term EEG monitoring and video telemetry, intensive care EEG (CFM), neve conduction studies (including repetitive nerve stimulation etc), electromyography (EMG; including single-fiber EMG) and evoked potentials. In our department, non-invasive recordings of EEGs and nerve conduction studies are performed by our highly qualified technicians. Consultants/specialists in clinical neurophysiology design, interpret and report the investigations undertaken in addition to performing needle-EMG studies. Our consultants are on call for CFM monitoring analysis during weekends (9-18).

Teaching and research in collaboration with Uppsala University is highly encouraged.
