As Project Director, you will lead complex mega projects in a global team of experienced project managers. Apart from being a strong leader, motivating and coaching the project team, you are responsible for ensuring that all project activities are made according to policies, quality standards and financial targets as well as health, safety and environment requirements. Moreover, you will contribute to our continuous growth by adopting best practices, seeking improvement opportunities and further developing our way of executing projects. Operating at the center of events, you will support managers in overseeing team development and process improvement to continually increase the effectiveness of project execution. Acting as key contact towards our customers and building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders is a vital part of your role. Travelling and working on different locations in the world is part of your mission.
Project manager
As project manager you have the comprehensive responsibility for project execution, budget, time schedule, project scope & changes, project team management and last but not least project communication. You will manage customer contracts and technical requirements together with your project team. You are also the customer voice into our organization and will secure customer satisfaction and that overall project goals are met. As a project manager you will develop your team and colleagues by well performed leadership, sharing experience and use of industry best practices. This is a position where you receive a comprehensive view of the organization and a broad network internally and new customer contacts. Our Projects are global and multidisciplinary and deal with partial as well as comprehensive upgrading of existing HVDC projects. The size of projects varies from 10 - 250 MUSD. Travelling is part of the role.
Project director
Solid experience of working with large and complex projects in a global environment. Clear focus on organizational leadership over subject matter expertise. You have a high level of results orientation, intercultural sensitivity & effectiveness and have the required leadership competencies. You will be working in a business with top of the edge- technology, complex contractual requirements and you must have experience from similar businesses. Flexibility and an open-mindset is important to be successful in this role.
Project manager
You have solid experience in leading positions combined with a commercial mindset and a technical background. This is supplemented with business acumen as well as proficiency in English. Additional language skills are positive.
On a personal level, you are customer focused, goal oriented and are used to resolve commercial issues. Your strong management and communication skills make you a good listener who builds teams and inspires your coworkers to achieve mutual goals.
Interest in our systems, our solutions and how they can benefit our customers businesses is required to be successful in these positions. Formal PD and PM certifications are plus at evaluation of your application.
You will be part of HVDC within the Power Grids division. The HVDC technology has been on the market for the past 60 years and is used, among other things, to transmit power over long distances with minimal losses, using overhead lines, underground and submarine cable systems.
