About People & Culture Leaders
Your strength is in translating IKEA business needs into action. This starts with setting clear objectives, navigating our corporate system, and collaborating across networks and matrices; it ends with enabling everyone who is involved to contribute and make the intended impact. To love this job, you will have to enjoy the many sides of working in a complex, international, ever-changing environment.

Also, while each People & Culture Leader works closely with one area of our business, success is heavily reliant on teamwork and collaboration with colleagues across a matrix.

Here is an idea of the type of work you will be doing
Develop and maintain a strong People & Culture foundation, together with colleagues in the matrix. This includes securing operational excellence in implementing and maintaining human resources processes and working methods in areas like recruitment, onboarding, leadership, career and competence development, performance management, working environment, etc.
Coach management (teams and individuals) and co-workers to continuously develop their leadership capabilities.
Support management with people-related questions.
Lead and/or support in organisational changes.
Contribute to making IKEA a diverse and humanistic workplace, developing and maintaining a trustful climate that encourages an open and honest dialogue.
Promote IKEA culture and drive initiatives to keep the IKEA key values a living reality.
Ensure compliance with internal regulations related to human resources. Secure a strong collaboration with HR Operations to take action in case of deviations or potential improvements.
Collaborate with colleagues (in People & Culture and management teams) to ensure internal communication and information about People & Culture topics reaches the right people, at the right time, in the right places.
When it comes to practical skills and experience, you will have:
6-8 years of People & Culture or HR experience (or equivalent in a related field or business), and the knowledge of processes, tools and practices that come with it
strong personal leadership, with the ability to self-manage your workload, capacity, approaches, and contributors (without direct reporting relationship)
the ability to translate long-term strategic visions into realistic tactical plans and HR operational tasks
the capability to coach, facilitate and transfer knowledge with proper communication skills
in-depth knowledge of the IKEA brand, our shared culture and values, and the IKEA people strategy and approaches
knowledge of, and interest in, market conditions/trends
the capability to support and enable (organisational) change
an affinity for connecting and engaging people (throughout IKEA)
the ability to work in-depth on specific topics, as well as lead developments in broad areas that go across the whole organisation
the motivation to build networks, relationships and partnerships that will help IKEA to grow.
