hela Sverige Welcome to Mälardalen International School in Västerås (MISV). We are a newly opened IB candidate school where you as a teacher have the opportunity to be part of creating the best school ever together with your colleagues!
We are adding on to our dream team for the upcoming school year 22/23. We are currently looking for one or a combination of several subjects:
Individuals and Societies 50% MYP
Music 50% PYP + MYP
Spanish 20% MYP
PE/PSPE 100% PYP + MYP

Mälardalen International School in Västerås is an independent primary and middle school. The school belongs to Industritekniska gymnasiet Bergslagen AB which also owns three very successful Swedish gymnasium schools; ABB Gymnasium, Hitachi Gymnasium and Vattenfall Gymnasium. All four schools are run in close collaboration with the business community. MISV was started in January 2022 in close collaboration with Northvolt and Hitachi Energy. Our goal is to become an authorized IB World School in 2023 teaching according to the Primary Years Program (PYP) and the Middle Years Program (MYP). At present we have 37 students and are growing fast. During next school year we will reach about 120 students PYP + MYP. We also plan to start the EYP during 2023.
Our students come from all over the world and truly respect and cherish each other's uniqueness. We have created a warm, welcoming atmosphere where we support each other. Our foundation is the IB Learner Profile which we live and breathe daily. This offers students the opportunity to grow into responsible world citizens.
An MISV teacher:

has several years of experience from working with the International Baccalaureate framework for the Primary Years Programme and/or Middle Years Programme.
also fits the Learner profile which means that you continue developing yourself in pedagogy, methodology and didactics.
is open to new pedagogical ideas and willing to participate in collegial learning
collaborates and plans with a teaching team at least twice a week
English is our language of instruction and the language of our corridors.

40 hr work week
8 weeks paid vacation
