Early stage researcher toward licentiate degree in Applied Physics, specialization in Optical Chemical Sensing, formally based at IFM-Division of Sensor and Actuator Systems (SAS), Optical Devices Laboratory (ODL)

The candidate must not have resided or carried out their main activity in Sweden for more than 12 months in the 3 years immediately prior to the selection for this post.
EU Marie Curie ESR criteria apply: candidates should be in the first four years of their research career and not have a doctoral degree. Master degree in applied physics, engineering physics, electrical engineering, or equivalent background. Verifiable knowledge of optics. Preferably acquainted with surface plasmon resonance methods, imaging techniques and optical design. Accredited programming skills. Preferably with experience in Java, Android studio, and Matlab, as well as with computer aided design (CAD) software.
Evidence of interest in the subject of this position. (Provide motivation letter with your application). Verifiable verbal and writing communication skills in English. (Provide TOEFL certificate or equivalent). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to communicate clearly and to interact with colleagues and staff. To be suitable for enrolment in the licentiate programme at LiU or equivalent to partners within the consortium. To be able to conduct mandatory secondments in other organizations throughout Europe for defined periods, and to travel to programme meetings and conferences.
