Polestar is the independent electric performance car brand founded by Volvo Cars and Geely Holding. In 2017, Polestar launched the Polestar 1 - a low-volume Electric Performance Hybrid GT. In 2020, the Polestar 2 was launched as the company's first fully electric, higher volume premium car designed to compete with the Tesla Model 3. In the future, Polestar 3 will join the portfolio as a fully electric performance SUV.

Role

Polestar is blazing a new trail, dedicating ourselves to the development and refinement of electric vehicle performance and to improve the society we live in. In this role you will support the teams and co-workers at Polestar in reaching our goal on circularity. You will coordinate activities for circularity throughout Polestar's organization and seek out innovative and game-changing circularity projects. All in all, you will be Polestar's go to-circularity expert!

You will be a part of the Quality & Sustainability team and work together with innovative and open-minded colleagues who like you believes electrification is a part of a sustainable future for our planet.

Your contribution

• Implement activities throughout the organisation supporting Polestar's vision and strategy on circularity
• Ensure that Polestar operates in a way that cover all aspects of circularity
• designs out waste and pollution, 2) keeps products and materials in use, and 3) regenerates natural systems
• Support all departments in creating action plans for circularity in line with Polestar's sustainability vision and strategy
• Lead or be a part of circularity projects throughout Polestar and our affiliate network
• Manage external and internal partnerships relating to circularity
• Collect and follow up on circularity KPIs
• Perform internal trainings and communication activities on circularity
• Secure that legal requirements and relevant external frameworks relating to circularity are followed

Who you are

You have more than 5 years of experience working with circularity within sustainability. We believe you have a Master (MSc) in Environmental Science with a Natural Science base or equivalent. Your main expertise and passion is circular economy! You also have a proven track record in managing projects and cross-functional work groups. It is important you are energized by working in a creative start-up environment, taking action where you see potential and creating a structure where and when needed.

You are enthusiastic, motivated, well-organized and driven. You're not afraid to try new approaches and unconventional methods, and you work well both individually and as part of a team. You have a holistic view, including vision, business, sustainability, and customers.

At Polestar, you will be part of a cross-functional and international team, with English as a natural language for written and spoken communication.
