What you will be a part of
Industrial Products and Services (IPS) is a business area within Saab focusing on business-to-business (B2B) customers. IPS includes the business units Aerostructures, Avionics Systems, Traffic Management and the independent consulting firm Combitech. Our portfolio includes products and services for both military and commercial markets - from world-class expertise and innovative solutions for structures, composites and avionics for the global aircraft industry, to leading-edge technology for civil security, including solutions for air and maritime traffic as well as public safety. Combitech support industry, defence and public sectors with a broad range of services, including cutting-edge-expertise in Cyber Security, Digitalization and R&D excellence.

We are now looking for a new BA CFO for our business area with 3500 employees, located around the globe in four business units. IPS has a yearly turn-over of approximately 6 BSEK.

Your role
At Industrial Products and Services we are passionate about doing business.We are proud to be contributing in Saab defence mega-deals combined with deliveries to our commercial B2B customers worldwide.
As BA CFO at IPS you work closely with the Business Area manager in all financial matters and also as a member of IPS Management Team, you will be involved in business from offerings to executions in a global environment including complex accounting and other financial issues. This includes implementing a business strategy from a finance perspective, be involved in strategy for improved financial system support, as well as focusing on the performance of the operations.
As BA CFO your specific work-tasks includes:
Direct financial strategy, planning and forecasts
Accurate analysis of the financial results and deviations in forecast including sensitivity and scenario analysis and suggest/take needed corrective action
Oversee all Saab accounting practices, including accounting, preparing budgets, business plans, financial reports and audit functions
Supervise investment and customer proposals; review decision material and understand the financial impact for the business area
Monitor and control business performance from an overall financial perspective with internal control and self-assessment
Monitor and control the achievement of key financial targets
Improve business models
Ensure the financial result is well communicated
Work in close corporation with Saab corporate functions
As BA CFO, we expect you to have the ability to combine a distinctive business acumen with a professional everyday leadership for sustainable success. A drive for performance, accountability and co-operation along with communication skills to create energy and enthusiasm are all key components for us.
You will report to Head of Business Area and be part of the Business Area's Management Team. Functionally the BA CFO also report to the Group CFO. You are also expected to take a broader Saab perspective to achieve our common company goals.
Frequent travels will be required; you will however to a large extent, be able to plan travels in order to secure a good work/life balance.
You will drive the development of financial models and the financial organization within the business area and be part of the Finance Board.
Your responsibilities include development, implementation and continuous improvement of comprehensive finance procedures and ways of working in accordance with legal requirements and overall Saab Group Finance controlling; finance planning, analysis and reporting.
Your skills and experience
We are looking for a BA CFO with strong analytical, operational and communication skills. We are looking for a graduate from a Business School/University with several years of experience from a similar position. Through your work experience, you have a successful background as manager with proven leadership skills. You are customer-oriented in your approach and are comfortable in English as a working language.
To be successful in this position it is important to be business driven, have integrity and have an analytic and pedagogical ability to understand and explain economic causation. We are looking for an analytical doer with a commercial mind-set, interested in the whole Business Area's organization. You work in a systematic, visionary manner towards set targets.
You are communicative and a good leader who enjoys coaching and developing team members and colleagues. You are open-minded and your leadership is characterized by Saabs values - Expertise, Trust and Drive.
As a condition of employment, candidates will be required to participate in a background investigation and/or successfully demonstrate eligibility to receive applicable Government security clearance(s).
