The modernization means introduction of IP transmission, higher Circuit Switched capacity, higher data rates, lower latency and architectural convergence of the different Radio Access Networks (RAN) technologies.
The dominating standard GSM plays a key role in the convergence, which gives us a number of technical challenges and opportunities over the coming years.
Job Description
The GSM Base Station Systems organization is a small and stable organization with a big responsibility, due to the large number of installed base stations in more than 170 countries.
We cooperate with 3G/WCDMA and 4G/LTE to develop Ericsson's Multi Standard Common Base Station.
BSS/BSC Integration & Verification (I&V) is an effective and competent organization always prepared to meet challenges with innovative and flexible solutions in I&V.
We are currently looking to employ Verification Engineers, in this role you will work with verification of latest GSM releases.
Who are you?
We are looking for engineers that are motivated and enjoy working in a team, but also have the ability to work independently and take own decisions when required.
You should be result oriented with good communication and cooperation skills.
You are willing to ensure technical solutions which are simple, reliable and cost effective.
You like to work with customers and can provide technical solutions based on customer's requirement.
You should also have:
• Bachelor or Masters degree in electronic engineering, computer science, communications or equivalent
• Good knowledge of communication systems
• Fluent in both written and spoken English
