Workshop Technician - Vehicle Dynamics & Brakes NVH
We are now looking for Workshop Technicians - Vehicle Dynamics & Brakes NVH to the Workshop team within Test Objects & Facilities department.
The Workshop team is located at Säve Airport outside Gothenburg and consists of five experienced complete vehicle technicians, four skilled SW Engineers/Fault tracers and a workshop coordinator. The team is responsible for complete vehicle service, repair work and development work as well as SWDL and fault tracing on Lynk&Co test vehicles in Sweden and Europe.
In the vehicle architecture development, the brake NVH testing in complete car will be a key factor for a successful brake system delivery. As Workshop Technician - Vehicle Dynamics &Brakes NVH you will be responsible for service, repair work, development work and tuning on brakes NVH in complete vehicles. You will work in close cooperation with Development Engineers from Vehicle Dynamics.
The work principle within the Workshop team is flexibility and the possibility to use what you excel at together with a strong sense of co-operation; this meaning that you as part of a larger team will also support activities in other areas as well as you will get support on your area.
Responsibilities and tasks
• Change the brake system parts of the cars to improve the performance
• Test drive the system mules with the brake system to be developed
• Measure the brake NVH performance and rate it subjectively
• Secure timely deliveries with right quality
• Report status on test object to responsible Development Engineer within Vehicle Dynamics
• Perform complete vehicle service and repair work, etc.
Profile and Background
• High school degree in vehicle technology or similar education
• Preferably 5 years' experience as a mechanic, brake technician/engineer or working on cars or similar
• Driving license category B, driving license category BE is a merit
• A basic understanding of the function of modern automotive braking systems. The applicant must be willing to learn the theory behind the brake NVH development.
• Good computer knowledge including Microsoft Office
• Experience from automotive diagnostic systems/tools is a merit
• Team player with a strive for cooperation
• Will to develop yourself, the team and the department
• Intermediate level in English, both oral and written
• Ability to travel occasionally
