Your main focus in this postion will be to be a part of stating and approving welding drawings/specifications and approving welded parts and suppliers. As a Welding Engineer you have a high technical competence from relevant field within engineering and/or quality.
The position is placed in Falun, Vika and you report to Global Supplier Quality Manager.
Your responsibilities
• Developing welding specifications and drawings in accordance with EN15085
• Qualify welding suppliers
• Set up, realize and perform annual audit plans
• Introduce new systems, items or processes at suppliers
• Provide a interface, expertise and assistance to our suppliers
• Performing first article inspections for welded parts
• Be a part of the Commodity teams, that are crossfunctional between quality, procurement and engineering departments
• Internal support for metallurgy and welding discussions and decision
• Be a part of customer projects and answer to welding specifications
The successful candidate will have the following profile
Job and educational experiences:
• Minimum of 3 years university degree within the area of the responsibility
• Certified IWE or EWE
• Minimum of 5 years work experience within the relevant field
It 's meriting if you have experience and education within the international railway welding standard EN15085.
International and domestic travelling will be a part of the position.
Personal skills:
• You will interact with colleagues, suppliers and customers all over the world and we assume you have an open attitude and ability to establish good relationship with colleagues.
• Have a good technical understanding
• Team orientated with good interpersonal and communicational skills
• Well organized and deliver a structured result
• Fluent in spoken and written English and Swedish
