We manage all design projects for a number of well established internet sites within the online gaming industry. We offer a relaxed and friendly work environment.
ROLE:
Armchair Partners Ltd are looking to hire a Web Designer with 1-2 years experience on a project based 6 month contract with the possibility of an extension into permanent position. You will be required to work on new and existing websites alongside the existing design team. We will however consider a junior web designer, provided the candidate is willing and able to learn quickly.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintain and develop the company's new and existing websites. The role involves working closely with the UK based team to implement design/content changes to a deadline, as well as regularly creating engaging promotional flash banners.
KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE:
Essential:
Proven Photoshop design skills
Proven Flash Skills
Excellent Knowledge of Dreamweaver
Excellent knowledge of Web standards (XHTML and CSS)
Good written and verbal English communication skills
Desirable but not essential:
Knowledge of Actionscript 3
Knowledge of JavaScript, frameworks/libraries such as jQuery
Some print design knowledge would be beneficial
Experience of Wordpress Blog Software
Experience of Umbraco Content Management System

So it is essential that candidates provide a link to an online portfolio website or at the very least can provide URLs to websites they have created. It is not essential that the URLs or examples you provide are commercial work, a personal site or academic project that adequately demonstrates your abilities is perfectly acceptable.
