Acne is a Swedish fashion brand that designs, markets and distributes high-end denim and fashion. The company was born out of a fusion between fashion and denim and has embraced its heritage in the area ever since inception.
Acne's products are sold at more than 700 retailers in 40 countries around the world, and also through fourteen Acne concept stores in Stockholm, Gothenburg, Berlin, Hamburg, Oslo, Paris, New York, Vienna and Copenhagen.
E-commerce is the third and youngest sales channel with operations in 50 countries worldwide. Acne E-tail is a fast growing division within the company with increasing employment demands in a number of different areas including web development.
The new e-commerce platform MAGENTO will be the main hub for all B2C e-commerce development and internal PHP-platforms are used to support our B2B sales channels.
Job Description
The position as Senior Web Developer within our E-Commerce Department is demanding and fun. You will play a central role in the technical and commercial expansion of our online presence through the expansion of our small but growing web development department. Key assignments will range from work within long-term development projects to continous enhancements and optimizations on a daily basis.
You will work within a department of crucial importance to our business which is closely linked to the daily operations within the Design, Marketing and IT departments and you will learn about all the different aspects of e-commerce and fashion business. This position is fulltime and preferably based at our head office in Stockholm.
Tasks include the following
Solutions Development and Delivery
• Build and develop excellent performing websites based on the MAGENTO and Wordpress platforms as well as development of custom built systems using PHP, MySQL and Zend Framework.
• Providing excellent technical solutions to drive sales and lower cost.
• Testing and deployment of delivered code
• Execute continuous optimization of all areas of the website to improve sales and user experience.
Project Execution
• Creating and executing project work plans and revision as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
• Act as link between the technical team and various commercial teams
• Communicating and enforcing coding standards
• Managing resources within budget and project schedule.
• Sourcing of external development resources.
• Review of team's work
Mandatory Qualifications
• A strong passion for web development and Open Source software.
• Expert in PHP/MySQL Programming
• Experience from project and production management
• Strong planning, organizational, social and problem solving skills
• Strong communication skills in written and spoken English.
• Very good knowledge of current HTML/CSS/XHTML standards.
• Experience of building pixel perfect website templates from Photoshop mock-ups
• Experience with XML/SOAP/WDSL
• Working knowledge of source control and bug tracking tools
• A strong knowledge of current web trends and resources
• Enthusiasm and a great sense of humor.
• Excellent attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications
• Previous knowledge of e-commerce development.
• Experience developing with Magento Commerce platform
• Bachelors / Masters Degree or equivalent.
• Experience from Interaction Design and User Experience development
• Knowledge of AJAX technologies and methods
• Knowledge of Flash/Actionscript
• Linux experience / System Administration
• Familiar with Zend Framework
• Wordpress experience
