The ideal candidate has worked for a while in general system administration and IT support and is keen to grow within the area of networks. If you also have an interest in cybersecurity, we'd be delighted!
The department hiring for this position develops and supports Sectra's internal IT systems and internal IT tools as well as all of Sectra's quality systems. The department supports Sectra offices in 15 countries, which will give you considerable international experience. Your clients, Sectra's internal employees, are mostly engineers and have high demands and tricky errands. You will thus have a good opportunity to learn and become a real expert in your field.
In this position, you will:
Jump-start our project team by implementing ongoing network improvements to further improve security, performance and availability.
Work with the support team to maximize network availability in our offices worldwide.
Monitor services, and gather and monitor our main security metrics to reach and maintain a good service level worldwide.
Gradually grow into an expert profile within networking.

For this position, the following requirements apply:
Master's or Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent with an IT profile or strong interest in IT, with a good academic record.
Fluency in English and Swedish.
Swedish citizenship is required due to regulatory demands.
A strong desire to help people and interact to find solutions, even in stressful situations.
Experience from IT operations with a focus on network infrastructure in a mid-size company, and eager to learn more to grow in the field and your position.
You are familiar with the most important IT infrastructure components in both Microsoft and the Linux world, with a pragmatic view on the both worlds.

In addition, we consider it an asset if you also:
Speak more languages than those required above.
Have interests besides school/work, such as sports, sports leader, music, horseback riding, singing or flying (if you happen to have pilot's license, you can fly to our customers in our own Sectra airplane) or anything else that makes you stand out from the crowd.
Have experience with other cultures.
Hold Microsoft certificates and have experience from working with MS services, especially cloud services which is a growing area.
Have some experience from and interest in Linux.
Have some experience from working with security breach investigations and hold IT security certification, such as GCIH, GPEN, OSCP or CISSP.
Are knowledgeable about network monitoring, threat detection and response, SIEM, malware analysis, sandboxing or antimalware solutions.
Have experience from ITIL or other process frameworks for IT service.
