The Wayside System Engineer shall collect and structure internal and external system stakeholders needs and translates the selected design solution into workable requirements.
He/she ensures consistency of the system requirements, robust solutions and re-usable functionality of the system throughout development & project execution.
IN YOUR ROLE YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:
• Wayside Requirement and System Interface requirement management;
• System Architecture and Operational Scenarios - describe the interaction of the systems included in the technical solution and its users;
• Analysis of system functionality and its deviations - you will need to be able to analyse and understand functional deviations in order to find solutions that can be acceptable for the customer;
• Providing support for Scrum teams, Developers, Bid estimation, Project Management and Drive change within way of working;
• Take the Technical lead in Technical meetings.
• Bachelor or Masters' degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering;
• Minimum 5 years of experience in developing/testing systems (preferable safety systems);
• Experience in requirement management tool, as DOORS or similar;
• Experience in working with different system architectures;
• Experience of working with change management tool;
• Experience from different areas as Software development or Testing of safety systems is relevant (network knowledge is a plus);
• Knowledge of CENELEC- EN 50126, EN 50128, EN 50129 is a plus;
• Fluent English is mandatory;
• Fluent Swedish is an advantage;
• Willingness to travel up to 10% per year.
