VESC (Volvo Cars Engineering Student Concept) - Manufacturing Engineering Gothenburg

VESC ME (Manufacturing Engineering) aim to establish a good foundation for a long-term relationship between Volvo Cars and students in various Master's programmes. The concept will provide you as a student with a unique opportunity to experience and work in the very centre of the product and process development in the automotive industry. This within an organisation that has a high focus on safety aspects as well as innovation. We are people who want to make a difference. We bring out the best in each other and believe in doing things together.
Content
Summer job (approx. 8 weeks/year) and Master thesis:
* 2018 will give you experience of working at the production line, building our cars.
* 2019 focuses on specific manufacturing engineering deliveries. It will provide you with a broad understanding and building your skills within the field.
* 2020 thesis work during your Master's Programme.
In order to be eligible as a participant in the VESC programme you need to be in your final year of
Bachelor's programme and applying for Master's programme within one of the following areas below. In addition, you need to be fluent in English.
We are looking for students from following Bachelor's programmes:
* Automation Engineering
* Mechanical Engineering
* Electrical Engineering
* Industrial Engineering and Management
* Software/Computer Engineering
And who is applying for Master's programmes within the area of:
* Production Engineering
* Automation Engineering
* Mechatronics Engineering
* Software Engineering
Your profile
We are looking for positive and curious individuals that is not afraid of taking initiatives. It is important to be a good team player as well as being able to work independently. Good cooperation and communication skills while being positive and having a committed attitude will help you through the programme. As a person you should be driven oriented and have an analytical mind-set, as well as a passion for cars and engineering technique.
