VoIP/SIP engineer
The R&D team working with Careium's telecare platform is expanding with a VoIP/SIP engineer. This is a modern and web-based telecare platform that handles alarms and calls from/to our alarm devices. VoIP is a critical component in the platform that convert speech into digital signals. As a VoIP/SIP engineer you will oversee and engage in the design, implementation, support, troubleshooting and maintenance of VoIP systems.
The R&D department is around 25 persons and is located in Malmö, Kalix and Madrid.
Developer or DevOps
This is much up to you. The role can be either tilted towards developing/coding VoIP/SIP solutions or towards a DevOps role more focused on the VoIP infrastructure and environment/networking. As long as you are dedicated to improving our VoIP/SIP solutions we can shape the role around your expertise and wishes.
Key responsibilities
As part of a Scrum team consisting of Developers, DevOps, Designers, Testers and Product Owner your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Engage in the design, implementation, support, troubleshooting and maintenance of VoIP/SIP solutions together other specialists
• Act as Subject Matter Expert on VoIP communications, using SIP
• Collaborate in VoIP projects
• Provide support for SIP- and TDM-based software installations with enhanced media gateways
• Ensure that deliveries in project are completed on time and to a high standard
• Stay up to date with the latest technology trends and industry developments, and share this knowledge with the team
• Create and maintain detailed technical documentation for VoIP/SIP solutions
• Provide training to other team members or customers
• Work on the integration of VoIP/SIP with other systems and applications in the organisation or external suppliers or partners
• Design and execute tests to ensure the quality and performance of VoIP/SIP solutions
Qualifications
• In-depth knowledge of VoIP/SIP applications
• A detailed, practical and theoretical knowledge of voice and data communications, including traditional switching, signalling and routing systems to include SIP and SIP trunks
• Close working knowledge of PBXs/SoftPBXs
• Knowledge of telecom principals, network security systems and software
• Proven ability to resolve complex issues in an efficient and timely manner
• Self-starter with excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to prioritise tasks and organise workflow accordingly
• Written and verbal communication skills in Swedish and English
