We have a role for Virtualization Specialist and Systems Engineer Sweden, please find below the details:
Work Location - Östersund, Sweden

Specialties:
• Virtualisation expertise (VMware, Citrix) . Server virtualisation . Storage virtualisation - VSAN . Desktop virtualisation - VDI . Microsoft experience in Windows 2008, 2008R2 & 2012R2. . Active Directory - Mid level understanding . Storage experience - Basics . Data Centre expertise - Mid level . High Availability planning and design . Disaster Recovery planning and implementation . Microsoft Patch Remediation and Vulnerability Management . Server hardware troubleshooting . Basic understanding of how to work as an Enterprise Architect. . Ability to lead Global projects major/minor

Position Purpose
• Primary support for the data centres in Europe . Day-to-day support for end-users supported by the VDI platform . Day-to-day operational support for Recall's virtualisation platform. . Proactive performance tuning
• Monitoring and problem remediation . Provisioning and capacity planning
• Scaling the environment . Disaster Recovery . Keep all documentation up to date and train Service Desk to handle Tier 1 support and triage of issues.
• Mentor other members of the IT team throughout Europe. . Vulnerability Management

Major/Key Accountabilities
• Primary owner for all Virtualisation in Sweden. . Availability and performance of Virtualisation platform built on VSphere 5.x & 6.x . Availability and performance of the European Citrix platform . Disaster Recovery for Virtualisation platforms
• Maintenance and general continuous improvement roadmap to ensure consistent user experience across growth or feature enhancements
• Implementation and Delivery for any and all changes of the production Virtualisation platforms

Measures
• Project deliverables are on time and in accordance with project scope
• High Availability/Uptime, Minimum unplanned outages . Customer Satisfaction (proactive response, service within SLA's) . Infrastructure complies with established security standards. . Disaster Recovery testing and upkeep is performed to meet Recall's audit and regulatory compliance needs.

Authority/ Decision Making
• Purchasing Authority: Authorisation based on approved projects . People Authority: N/A . Day to Day Operational Decisions; . Incident Management and Escalation; . Production Support: Authority to raise and escalate Infrastructure Support issues with External 3rd Party vendors. . Recommend the purchase of Hardware/Software to support Recall's Business goals and objectives

• 24x7 operation in Europe with aggressive customer SLAs

Qualifications
• Must have: VMware Certified Professional (VCP) . Degree in related field
• Desirable : MCSA . Desirable: Citrix Certified (CCA or CCEA). Dell, Cisco, HP or IBM server certified
Degree in related field

Experience
• Minimum of 5 years VMware Management and Implementation experience: VSphere . Minimum of 2 years VDI Management and Implementation experience
• Minimum of 2 years Storage Administration experience . Implementing Disaster Recovery Plans through SRM . Minimum of 2 years Data Centre networking experience . Nice to have: 2 years SQL Server in virtualised environment

Skills and Knowledge
Knowledge:
• Excellent technical understanding of Microsoft Operating Systems essential.
• Symantec Netbackup: disk to disk and disk to tape . VSphere 5.x & 6.x experience . Performance tuning on servers (virtual and physical) . Good Knowledge of Citrix and Terminal Services . Storage Administration SAN and storage arrays - VSAN . LAN/WAN design and management
• Vulnerability Management . Hands on experience in Cisco UCS devices.
• Scripting and automation capabilities . Excellent logical and analytical process thinking . Ability to work under pressure and partake in multiple tasks simultaneously. . Excellent written verbal and interpersonal skills.
• Desirable (Essential for Specialty:) . Citrix Presentation Server 4 (CCA, CCEA certification), Windows Terminal Server, thin client computing . Active Directory management and admin.
