About the job
In this role, you take an active part in setting the strategic direction for Seco Tools, and you drive overall company improvements and increased efficiency through cross-functional collaboration. With a doer's attitude, you lead the strategy execution and strategic business planning, as well as M&A-related activities. You also manage the identification and development of new business opportunities - including strategic partnerships. Through digitalization, new acquisitions and optimization of the current operating model, you create a leading market position and foundation for additional revenue growth.
Included in your role is to:
Lead and coordinate the development, implementation and execution of approved strategy plan, including programs and initiatives.
Organize and operate discovery and exploration of trends and drivers related to our market, development of business opportunities for Seco in identified industry segments, adjacent and new business.
Organize and set our strategy execution tool up for success by identifying gaps and taking the lead on corrective actions.
Identify, nurture and develop relationships and leads with external companies.
Represent the organization in interactions with external parties to protect the organization's interests and reputation.
Act as a change agent in the company with objective to develop a culture of a high performing organization.
Support all functional managers in driving change by offering expertise and tools.

Taking the responsibility for people management within your organization, you ensure formulation and oversight of objectives, task allocation, resource, and competence procurement for achieving organizational goals. This also includes employee skill development tailored to their positions, and a commitment to attracting, retaining, and nurturing exceptional talent across all sectors.
The location for this role is flexible globally and some travel is included. You report to the President of Seco Tools and are a valuable member of the Seco Management Group.
Your profile
We're looking for a senior leader with high business acumen and experience of leading M&A and transformation journeys in a global environment, including strategic planning. You have good stakeholder management skills and experience of strategy development and implementation - or operational business development in an industrial company. Your experience is backed by a relevant master's degree or higher. Acting in a global environment calls for fluency in both verbal and written English.
You're curious, socially skilled and flexible - quite a master of interactions and stakeholder management - and you combine this with excellent analytical abilities. You're known for balancing independence with teamwork, and you prioritize tasks and follow up on your work - making sure we reach timely results with high quality. You have a confident and engaging and humble approach, and you embrace feedback, new perspectives and sharing knowledge with others.
