Getinge Group is in an exciting and intensive period of change and we are recruiting a Vice President, CPO Indirect Purchasing. In this role you will be overall responsible for developing and securing the implementation of the Group purchasing strategy. Leading a team of category managers, you will be a key player when planning, driving and optimizing Indirect Purchasing activities and cost productivity. The position offers you the opportunity to participate in, contribute to, and make a difference for the function's development and future success. You will collaborate closely with the Executive team and interface with a wide variety of stakeholders in a global fast-paced manufacturing organization with high ambitions!

The position
As the CPO Indirect Purchasing you will be responsible for leading a full scale effort to reduce our indirect spend by professionalize purchasing, spend/supplier consolidation and demand management globally as well as regionally. The role includes supporting the need for delivering bottom-line impact to drive profitability improvement. The CPO will lead a global purchasing function with currently 25 employees. You will also work with each business function to lead consolidated indirect sourcing and procurement efforts.

Among your main responsibilities and tasks will be:
• Budget management for indirect spend and categories under management - and for the Purchasing function itself.
• Identification and realization of cost-saving and cost-reduction opportunities and the measurement of them.
• Measured on financial EBITA impact in business functions.
• Consolidate supplier base;
o Pool spending for competitive tendering in relevant categories globally and across functional boundaries.
o Apply attractive frame agreements that increase stakeholder value and promote continuous improvements.
• Manage demand and behavior;
o Implement global demand managing policies.
o Increase general compliance management to selected suppliers and frame agreements.
• Creation and improvement of best-practice based processes and systems.
• Management of procurement professionals in sourcing, contracting, transactional purchasing, supplier management, and miscellaneous internal procurement support activities.
• Managing the skills and competency development of procurement professionals, including training development and knowledge management capabilities.
• Leadership of cross-functional teaming across other business functions and initiatives.
• Development of benchmarks and scorecards to be used for continuous improvement.
The position is based at Getinge Group headquarters in Gothenburg, Sweden. You will report directly into the Chief Group Operations Officer and will have frequent interaction with the Executive team. Since the scope of work will be global, the position entails significant travel, which is estimated to approximately 25- 35%.

The ideal candidate
As ideal for the position you have profound experience leading a diversified, international procurement organization. You have in your previous roles successfully led change initiatives across geographies and divisions. You are used to working with, and have the ability to influence, both internal clients as well as external stakeholders in all parts of the world.

Specifically, some of your key characteristics and experiences include:
• Proven track record of delivering large bottom line savings
• In-depth knowledge of sourcing and procurement principles and best practices
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Team player at executive levels to collaborate with different business functions like IT, finance, HR, legal, etc.
• Ability to "sell" procurement's value and to drive the procurement agenda across the business functions to secure impact of initiatives
• Working knowledge of finance management in terms of budgeting & cost management, financial accounting etc.
• Academic Degree (Finance, Logistics, Engineering or equivalent)
• Fluency in Swedish and English, both written and spoken. Proficiency in German and French is beneficial

You are a motivating leader who can build successful teams, inspire your group and drive results. Further, you have an analytical mindset and demonstrate high level of business acumen. You have the ability to challenge and question in a productive way. Being used to working in a changing environment with process improvements is also a key factor. Strong references from prior employers and supervisors will be required.
