Overview

The Vice President Corporate Communications will be responsible for Group Media and Public Relations, Mergers & Acquisitions communications, Crisis and Incident communications, align communications within Group and support members of the Executive Management Team.
This is a line manager role with the responsibility for three employees.
The role reports to Senior Vice President Group Function Communications and the location for this position is at the Essity headquarters in Stockholm, Sweden. The SVP Group Function Communications is also responsible for Internal Communications, Investor Relations, Brand Communications and Online Communications.



Main Tasks
The Communication function's main objectives are to:

Establish knowledge of Essity as a leading global hygiene and health company and what we stand for
Support the business and deliver efficient and effective communications to support Essity 's vision and business objectives
Increase the Group's presence and the use of digital tools to create even better audience-centric communication at relevant touchpoints
Develop the Media and Public Relations team, further developing a collaborative and professional culture across the team as well as in the interaction with the business areas and other functions of Essity. A team that proactively increases competencies according to group and market needs
Proactively drive media coverage of Essity in selected channels with the right content on an international scale, as well as within Sweden where the company has its headquarters. Develop and execute on the external media plan. Ensure effective execution of the plans creating buy-in and engagement in close cooperation with the business areas and other group functions
Align Essity's communication externally across channels and target audiences, as well as functions and units within the group to secure a consistent message in everyday operations, proactive and reactive as well as in crisis situations
Drive projects including mergers & acquisitions communications and other integrated projects
Develop the strategy, objectives, KPIs, guidelines and instructions for media relations and crisis communications in line with overall Essity Group objectives and Essity Communications Framework
Support Essity's Executive Management Team

Key Competencies
University Degree or equivalent with relevant practice
Robust and extensive experience from international matrix organization within communications, Media Relations and PR relations. Experience from a listed company is a plus
Masters creation and delivery of oral, written and digital communications
Proven practice of international leadership
Excellent Swedish and English with excellent written and oral language skills

Someone who has strong interpersonal skills and is very comfortable working in a virtual global network. To be successful we see you as someone who is structured, analytical and proactive. You have the ability to prioritize, focus, filter and analyze information to decide best practice.
