The Beneficiary will work, at a macro level, directing the forward strategy and design of the product, through reviewing key decisions and upholding the design principles of the product. They will help teams execute on a shared vision by taking the product strategy and breaking it down into deliverable pieces. Specifically, the Beneficiary will collaborate with end users to write requirements for the entirety of our equities post trade processing infrastructure, including post trade functions and products, both existing and those still in development. Examples of such projects include the following:
PB Position Transfer uplift - Providing scale and efficiency to support systematic client growth.
EU Clearing Growth - Re-platforming our EU Clearing technology stack to support increase client volumes and new market coverage.
PB Convergence - Re-platforming of our PB infrastructure to support GMD revenue targets through improved scale and an improved client experience.
Serving as a subject matter expert, the Beneficiary will be responsible for ensuring that the solutions outlined above are: a) well defined, i.e. articulate functionally what is required; b) complete, i.e. cover the full range of features required, c) testable, i.e. have appropriate test scenarios defined; d) reviewed, i.e. have been reviewed and agreed by the Firm's relevant STP engineer leads; and e) completed and reviewed Firm's engineering teams. They will partner with teams to understand technical requirements to build out products that meet user requirements to the highest standards, thus improving STP rates and enhancing client experience by improving fundamental technical design and software. They will be responsible for defining and implementing a Test Quality Measure (TQM) to ensure that any new features built have sufficient test coverage before said features are released to production, either through Operations-written acceptance testing or Systematic-based scripted tests. They will provide guidance and best practices to Operations subject matter experts (SMEs) for testing, balancing cost of testing and delivery timeline, including: a) what to test, i.e. scope of change vs. risk of change vs. cost of testing change; b) how to test, i.e. appropriate test strategies and tooling to adopt for a given scenario; c) ensuring that the "test quality" measure remains at or above the defined threshold; d) ensuring testing environment considerations are defined during the Project Definition stage; and e) ensuring that Engineering system owners provide required QA environment availability. They will also maintain a commercial focus for their work by building out services and solutions that align with our clients' businesses and user requirements, thus helping to attract new clients for the firm, realize cost savings and improve client service.
Qualifications
Specific Product Knowledge of PB GS Cash and Synthetic Equity Post Trade Transaction Lifecycles.
Specific Subject Matter Expertise of working with GS Securities Trade Processing (STP) applications including Hydra, Helix, Cheetah, Orion, Rubix, AIE, Novation Workflow Engine, and NEWT
Technical Design Expertise to shape the functional build of each deliverable, so that the end product is fit for purpose and for the user. Necessary to leverage network across Operations, the Business, and Engineering teams to gain consensus across key design principles.
Product Strategy and Commercial initiative - ability to work at a macro level directing the forward strategy and design of the product, through reviewing key decisions and upholding the design principles of the product. Needs to leverage an analytics approach (specifically using EQ F2B Dashboard) to drive key decisions, and influence roadmap.
Understanding of industry product offerings vs internal product offering, and how it fits into the GS EQ Post Trade vision
