What you will do
We are looking for a VFX Artist to create stylized VFX to enhanced gameplay and to establish a strong visual identity. In this role you will work closely with our Game Directors as well as our Animation, Character Artist and fellow VFX Artists. You will be demonstrating what good gameplay VFX look like and helping the team reach those standards. VFX will play a vital role in the readability of our game, and making sure it looks and feels awesome to play.
What you will bring
Ideal candidates have experience working with similar games or genres (MOBA, MMORPG, ARPG) or are able to identify what makes them work. You have strong art fundamentals: Impact, Timing, Anticipation, Composition, Lighting, Material, Silhouette and Color. You are open to sharing your knowledge and mentoring others, you embrace and act on the feedback you receive, and have a collaborative mindset.
To succeed in this role, you need
• Professional experience in the video games industry or other relevant industries
• Deep understanding of game VFX and how they enhance gameplay
• Proficiency in current generation industry VFX tools and workflows
• The ability to balance details to create the proper visual impact for a top-down camera view
• To be open to mentoring other VFX artists
