Mission

The mission of the VA System Strategy Leader is to ensure coherency of the Vehicle Automation (VA) technology and product portfolio between projects, segments and brands. Taking on this position you will work in an exciting and true global working environment, interacting with stakeholders at all GTT sites. You will have a unique possibility to influence the development of future products in our Trucks.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities will be to build strategic product system roadmaps and to secure adherence of product and technology strategies within all VA initiatives throughout the concept phase. During the development and maintenance phase you will secure coherence between the technology strategies and new input as well as support the projects in following decided concepts.
In this role you will be the main interface towards all main cross functional stakeholders within GTT, achieving efficient system and function architecture as well as system interfaces from a VA perspective. This will enable a decoupled development setup within VA. You will be a member of the EE system architecture team representing the need within VA domain. Within VA you will be in the driving seat to define and create the most important system interfaces, both within the EE architecture as well as within the VA systems responsibility.
Key actor in creating the VA platform directions and maximize efficiency in diversity at component/system level
You will report directly to the Product Chief Engineer VA.

Required competencies & experience

To succeed in this position you have to have a long and broad experience within the automotive product development with focus on the embedded system domain (i.e. both HW electronics and SW), 10 years or more. Key competences are extensive knowledge in System & risk management (dependability and FMEA etc.), Product and Requirement management. Further on functional knowledge, i.e. understand the components role in a distributed system, is a must. You have the ability to drive the VA concept work by leading small teams and identifying project estimations like timing, scope and cost. Hence project management experience is also required.

A condensed version of desired competence and experience profile regarding management areas will look like:
• Supplier management: 5 years
• Project management: 5 - 10 years' experience from leading small projects (5-10 persons) or technical teams in big projects
• Product management: 10+ years, being responsible of a product portfolio or a cluster or components
• Requirement management: 10+ years' experience

Minimum Years of Experience Required:
Minimum 10 years of experience in the electronics area as well as within the automotive industry

Minimum Education Required:
MSc in in electrical- or computer engineering or similar.
