HVDC technology is used to transmit electricity over long distances and for power transmission via submarine cables. It is also used to connect power systems. As a VMware vCloud Engineer you will be responsible for creating, upgrading and maintaining VMware vCloud Director and virtual sessions. You collaborate with team members, software vendors, and other technical staff to develop, design, implement, and continuously improve systems. Follow procedures and guidelines to install, patch, configure, customize, troubleshoot, upgrade, integrate, and maintain systems, software, network and port configuration, host-based firewalls, and peripherals.
Join Hitachi Energy as a VMware vCloud Engineer and be part of implementing a new team for the operation and development of VMware vCloud. Your responsibilities
Be the first and single point of contact with Power users/Users.
Creating upgrading and maintaining vCloud organization and vApps and support power users.
Performance and capacity management of virtual servers/sessions and Compute resource of each v-org.
Controlling administrative rights on vCloud infrastructure and providing strategic and operational guidance to support ongoing development of the HVDC VMWare vCloud system.
Overall responsible for the deliveries, strategy, and performance of the VMware vCloud platform.
Provide strategic direction, leadership, and coordination to Power Users and Customers.
Providing technical support to a broad range of installations, patching, configuring and updates to virtual servers/session.
Requiring the ability to research, analyze and resolve problems effectively to meet established performance metrics and drive continuous improvement activities across the VMWare vCloud.
Your background
You have a deep knowledge in VMware and vCloud administration running on ESXi platforms and experience from complex system environments.
You have been supporting an enterprise class Data Center and have hands on experience with physical server installations.
Knowledge on Virtualization: VMware vSphere, Vmware vCloud Suit, vRealize SuitLifeclcyle Manager, vRealizeOperations, vRealize Log insight, vRealize Automation, Physical servers, TCP/IP, AD and DNS, Access Management, Templates and Media files management, powershell scripting.
You are a curious team player
It's important that you communicate well at all levels of the organization and get your messages across in a logical and clear way.
You have a high level of integrity and dependability and can easily and professionally handle different types of personalities in a diverse and multicultural environment.
Great skills in structure and document your daily work.
Excellent communication skills in English, oral and written. Able to communicate in Swedish is considered as advantage.
