The development of the production strategies and systems is managed by VCE Manufacturing Engineering (ME). The mission of VCE ME is to develop and process high efficient production systems for machining, assembly and engine testing. We develop future manufacturing systems for future products with a cross functional collaboration with Research & Development and Purchasing. We have a global Manufacturing Engineering (ME) responsibility and are now looking for Engineers to join ME in Skövde. We need to ensure replacement in three separate key functions. The positions are both managerial and operational within the working areas Manager Machine Engineering Team, Advanced Engineering and Machine Engineering. All three positions report in to the ME organisation in Skövde. We think that you, who are curious on and appreciate challenge tasks and have well documented experience in the above working areas are suitable for these positions. Main responsibilities
• As Manager Machine Engineer: Implement industrial improvement work cross- functionally, lead and manage right team members, lead and plan VCE's industrial change management for projects, drive standardisation between the plants, create technology solutions for new business and contribute in the annual process.
• As Advance Engineer: Preparing development of product and process , implement concept studies of industrialisation mission, create technology solutions for new business, collaborate with R&D to create production-friendly products and robust production systems.
• As Machining Engineer: drive projects for industrialisation and quality assurance of new products through cross-functional collaboration, develop new high-efficiency production processes with external equipment suppliers, rationalisation of existing and new production processes in engine production, be responsible for investment planning and equipment acquisition for assigned projects
Required qualifications
• University degree or equivalent
• Good experience from at least one preferably more of the above mentioned work areas
• Leadership experience and ability to work within a team environment
• Project management skills
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken
