This role is within our Consumer Commercial Digital Products (CCDP) team, which is using digital technologies to reinvent the experience of becoming a Volvo customer. There's no reason the experience of buying a car should be painful and difficult - it should be as enjoyable and exciting as actually having a new car. That is our mission. This is a rapidly growing team, and we are looking for outstanding people who will be some of the earliest hires in their function, helping to establish it at Volvo Cars.
Job Description
You will be responsible for developing back end software and services for consumer facing products and e-commerce solutions across more than 80 countries. We are looking for a user-experience designer responsible for conceiving and conducting user research, interviews and surveys, and translating them into sitemaps, wireframes and prototypes. You will also design the overall functionality of the product and iterate upon it to ensure a great user experience. We work with SiteCore CMS, Web, iOS and Android.
This position is located in Volvo's new Stockholm Software Technology Centre.
Responsibilities
* Turn concepts into wireframes
* mockups that replects intuitive user experiences.
* Sketching and prototyping of ecommerce applications.
* Identify design problems and devise elegant solutions.
* Make strategic design and user-experience decisions related to core, and new, functions and features.
* Focus on a user-centered design approach with test-design iterations.
* Work with team members and stakeholders.
* Experience in Web (responsive), iOS and Andoroid UIs.
Requirements
* Three or more years of UX design experience.
* Expertise in UX software needed to work with iOS, Web, SiteCore and Android.
* Ability to work with clients to understand detailed requirements and design complete user experiences that meet client needs and vision.
* Extensive experience in using UX design best practices to design solutions, and a deep understanding of mobile-first and responsive design.
* A solid grasp of user-centered design and testing methodologies, subsystems, and usability and accessibility concerns.
* Communicate design processes, ideas, and solutions to teams and clients.
* Be excited about collaborating and communicating closely with teams and other stakeholders via a distributed model to regularly deliver design solutions for approval.
* Open to the industry's latest trends and technologies.
