UX Concept lead
The UX department within CEVT Connected Car & UX have a holistic approach to user experience focusing on the end customer. We work with all aspects of UX deliveries inside and outside a vehicle, handling all types of user interfaces, such as in-screen HMI, physical interactive components, visual experience, speech interaction, etc.
The UX team does everything from user research to prototype development, and thus work as cross-functional as possible. In addition to vehicle development projects, we are also part of separate innovation projects, exploring new ways of expanding UX with new technology and prerequisites.
The UX team applies an agile work process, meaning that we use a backlog to prioritize work and keep an iterative approach to our development. We continuously tweak and improve our processes to best conform to current work situations. It is crucial that all team members contribute to improving our way of working.
The role as UX concept lead is a new role within the team, therefore we expect the candidate to be active in formalizing the role. Examples of what we expect of this role are:
- Guide and support a team of UX designers in the daily work.
Align UX solutions cross car projects.
Ensuring that graphics cohere to the set strategy.
Ensuring that core interaction principles are followed.
- Be an ambassador for UX in various forums both within the organization and externally to stakeholders and customers.
- Follow the UX strategy, thus working in close connection to the UX strategy team.
- Support the Product Owner in prioritizing work in the backlog.
- Evaluate concept proposals and give direction to the UX team.
- Cooperate with Marketing department and Product Planning, by understanding and refining their input as well as being a representative for UX in their forums.
- Inspire the team and challenge the mundane and/or expected.
You will work in close cooperation with designers, system and function owners, testers, and other component owners. You will be part of a global development team with resources in both Sweden and China.
As we work in a global environment, travels may be needed, especially to Asia.
Each individual in our team has a high level of responsibility and mandate and is expected to be able to work autonomously.
Profile and background
- Professional education in UX, HMI, graphics design or similar.
- >5 years experience of UX design, preferably within embedded system development.
- Experience of GUI development and prototyping.
- Experience within automotive is an advantage.
- Relevant working experience within UX and HMI areas and/or front-end programming.
- Driver's license B.
Software and IT:
Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite programs, SW development , Sketch and Principles,
HW prototype development and motion design is an advantage.
