Job description:

• Carry out organizational reviews of Swedish and foreign organizations on behalf of international donor organizations. The candidate will evaluate the organizations' financial and administrative routines and analyze if they fulfill given requirements. This will include assessing the organization's:
Governance systems
Project management and operational systems
Financial control, bookkeeping and procurement systems
• Conduct evaluations of development cooperation programs.
• Conduct evaluations of civil society organizations.
• Conduct evaluations for the Swedish public sector.
• Actively participate in the process of finding new assignments for the company (preparation and submission of tenders to clients).
• Data collection in Sweden and abroad as well as analysis and presentation of the results to the client.
• Project management, project administration and documentation.

The candidate will be expected to work in a project with one or several of our consultants thereby learning our procedures and systems in a "hands-on" manner. The work requires analytical thinking, a strong focus on detail and an ability to work independently. You will be part of a team of consultants, responsible for your own project and contribute to the projects of others.

The position will require extensive travelling on your own. On average, our consultants are away on business travel for one week every five weeks.

REQUIREMENTS:

Graduate degree (a Bachelor's degree or a Master's degree) is required, in political science/business administration/law/finance/engineering.
Minimum five-years working experience in business administration/civil society/development cooperation.
Outstanding skills in oral and written English. The candidate will be required to submit written proof of this.

PREFFERED:

Understanding and ability to communicate orally and in written form in Swedish.
Experience of working in developing countries.
Experience from working in or with the Swedish public sector.
Fluency in an additional language to Swedish/Norwegian/Danish such as for example French, Spanish, Arabic, German etc.

We carry out evaluations and organizational reviews for organizations such as Sida, DANIDA, Norad, the public sector, civil society and other international development agencies. We work in transition and developing countries and the head office is in Gothenburg, Sweden.
