The Section is responsible for the bachelor- and masterprograms in Public Health Sciences, the master program in Global Health and teaching in Social Medicine and Community Pharmacy. The research is focused at health related life style factor and life course perspective and the importance of social structures and factors for health and illness. The Section for Social Medicine and Epidemiology is a cross professional and cross disciplinary environment. Beskrivning av arbetsuppgifter: SUBJECT AREA DESCKRIPTION: Public Health Science concerns population health at local, national and international levels. Factors contributing to the development of health in society such as poverty, social inequalities, gender, ethnicity and life style are focused as is the importance of preventive and health promoting interventions. JOB ASSIGNMENTS: The position include teaching and being responsible for courses including planning, organising and administrating courses in team with other teachers mainly in bachelor and masters program in public and global health. Teaching at courses other than those one is responsible for is part of the work. Furthermore common tasks in the program, contacts with student, development work and collaboration with relevant actors within and outside academia are part of the work. Interprofessional learning between different programs and teaching at the bachelor level at other programs in the Sahlgrenska Academy can be included as well.

Beskrivning av kvalifikationer: ELIGIBILITY: PhD in a relevant discipline and documented pedagogic skills. ASSESSMENT:In the first place pedagogical competence. In the second place scientific competence. Administrative competence and ability to collaborate will be taken into consideration. Experience of teaching in topics relevant for the position is a merit. Pedagogical education for university teaching is a merit.
