We currently have the following job opening;
Unit Project Leader - Electrical
We need to strengthen up our UPL-team within electrical, therefore we are offering you to be one of the Unit Project Leaders for some of the ongoing projects.
The Electrical UPL team currently contains of 8 persons that reporting directly to Electrical Vice President and you will work cross functional with the teams of R&D, Marketing and Product Planning.
As the UPL you will be the interface between project and line and the everyday tasks means leading the development work of the system areas within electrical and to secure that the unit meet cost, timing and performance targets.
You will lead project meetings within Electrical and participate in various architecture level meetings to provide status report from Electrical and ensure progress.
It is of great importance that you have an understanding of the needs raised in a vehicle development project and has the ability to inspire, motivate and guide the system teams in different issues and questions.
Responsibilities and tasks
- Responsible to drive and align projects cross the complete electrical area
- To lead the development work of the system areas within the electrical unit
- To secure that we meet the cost, timing and performance targets
- Create and communicate overall timing and deliverables during the project phases, drawing release, verification, launch etc. from project start to start of production.
- Lead and solve complexed engineering issues.
- Report overall timing, status, issues and solution on vehicle level
- Member of the vehicle project core team and assist the Technical project leader
- Reporting to the Vice President Electrical in all project matters
Profile and Background
- B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Engineering or equivalent
- Technical experience in the field of Electrical development
- Experience of project management in the automotive industry
- At least ten years of experience in automotive industry
- Leadership skills with ability to inspire, drive and motivate people
- Ability to build high performing and diverse team with a strong team spirit
- Cultural awareness and interest in diversity
- Strong personal drive and motivation with ability to take initiative and drive issues
- Flexible mindset with ability to lead change and development and take decisions
- Analytical mindset to handle complex problems and to be solution oriented
- Ability to communicate clearly with excellent presentation skills
- Fluent in English, spoken and written
