Your responsibilities
For our Swedish locations, we are now looking for an Environment Manager who wants to work with us! The position is located in Malmö. You will be part of an international team that consists of a large number of experts in health, safety, security, environment and sustainability. Within our HSSE&S (Health Safety Security Environment and Sustainability) Function, you will be part of Uniper's Environment Team, which provides expert support on environmental topics across Sweden, Germany, UK and all other parts of Uniper's global business.
Key tasks
• Providing expert environmental support across Uniper businesses operating in Sweden, and also at an international level
• Act as a central co-ordinator in Sweden for environmental topics across current and future operations, including emissions to air, water, waste, biodiversity and contaminated land
• Support the development and delivery of specific environmental projects in Sweden, e.g. local implementation of the environmental aspects of the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive
• Develop and manage the delivery of environmental reporting processes (e.g. internal performance reports, Sustainability Report), using digital tools and automation to improve quality and speed of delivery
• Manage the compliance with relevant environmental regulations in Sweden at a corporate level, e.g. Energy Efficiency Directive, Land Contamination database
• Work together with the Sustainability Team to increase awareness of environmental issues across the business, define environmental targets and advising other areas of the business (e.g. Real Estate Management) on environmental initiatives
• Maintain an overview of the environmental risks of our operations in Sweden and support the implementation of mitigation measures
• Act as a co-ordination point for experts with environmental responsibility in our businesses in Sweden
• Proactively exchange with other companies on environmental topics and enable views from Uniper in Sweden to feed into the development of relevant EU legislation
This role involves travelling to the Swedish sites and to Düsseldorf or Birmingham 10-20% of working time.

Uniper is part of Sweden's critical infrastructure and our operations are covered by, among other things, rules related to protective security, export control and nuclear non-proliferation. We will therefore carry out security clearance of all positions and complement with register control for security classified positions, according to the Protection Security Act. Health and drug tests are performed if applicable.
Your profile
To succeed in the role we believe that you have a relevant university degree, engineering or science or equivalent education and several years of experience in environmental protection or environmental management in Sweden. You have experience of ISO14001, 50001 or similar management system standards.
As a person you have a high degree of initiative and positive, "can-do" attitude. You enjoy working across operational boundaries. As the role includes many internal and external interfaces you need strong stakeholder management skills and excellent communication skills. You are fluent in both Swedish and English.
