We are now looking for two Mechanical Engineers to join our Production Preparation group within Axis 's Operations department.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
We are looking for two Mechanical engineers for the mechanical development and design of Axis unique production and test systems and also production and test fixtures which is needed to produce Axis products with the high quality level that Axis stands for.
The jobs include:
Mechanical development, improvements and maintenance of our generic high precision test platform used to verify products in production and support development projects with product unique adaptors for the production and test equipment.
It may also include development, improvement and maintenance of complex automated production equipment, in cooperation with Image engineers and SW engineers, e.g. used to align sensor and lens or verify alignment in production.
The roles include travelling, mainly to our contract manufacturers, for approximately 20 days a year.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We are looking for open minded and driven individuals who always takes responsibility for their tasks i.e. you are a person how likes it equally to start new projects as well as finishing started ones. We also believe that you are willing to share ideas, knowledge and experience on a daily basis to further develop our creative and open environment. Hence, good communication skills and an easygoing attitude are vital.
Background:
• Master in Mechanical Engineering and/or relevant experience within mechanical design.
• Experience in 3D CAD - preferably Creo (Pro/Engineer) and design experience from Mechatronics and Automation.
• Up to 3 years' experience from fixture design and production of moving mechanics but also experience in the design of aluminum parts for CNC machining is beneficial and will come in use in your daily work.
• International Production experience or development of production equipment as well as optics or metrology experience is considered an advantage
• Very good communication skills in English is required and communication skills in Swedish is a plus.
THE PRODUCTION PREPARATION AND SOURCING GROUP
The Production Preparation team is a part of the production preparation and sourcing group. It also consists of Sourcing, Production Test, Design for Manufacturing and Industrial Lead.
The group is responsible for industrialization of new products, performs product transfers between production sites, supports production and introduces product changes. The main collaboration is with R&D, Contract manufacturers, Configuration & Logistic Centers and with other functions within Operations.
