The mission of Jönköping International Business School (JIBS) is to advance the theory and practice of business, with a specific emphasis on Entrepreneurship, Ownership, and Renewal. Three simple principles guide what we do: International at Heart, Entrepreneurial in Mind and Responsible in Action.
WORKING TASKS
Jönköping International Business School is recruiting two Assistant Professors in Business Administration with focus on Strategic Management. The holders of the positions are part of the discipline of Business Administration at JIBS. The positions comprise education activities, including teaching at Bachelor and Master level, research, and service to JIBS. Teaching is performed primarily in English, and distributed over the different parts of the academic year.
Besides teaching, the holders of the positions are expected to do research, apply for externally funded research grants, and contribute with new knowledge that strengthens JIBS? reputation in the focus areas Entrepreneurship, Ownership and Renewal. All JIBS faculty members are expected to contribute to increase JIBS footprint in the broader society.
The following qualifications are mandatory for all applicants:
• Doctoral degree in Business Administration or equivalent academic competence.
• Proven experience of teaching in Business Administration amounting to at least one year full-time teaching.
• Pedagogical education or equivalent, as well as evidence of pedagogical skills.
• Fluency in written and spoken English and ability to teach and examine courses using English.
The following are considered as merits for the position:
• Academic leadership experience (e.g. Program coordinator, Director of Studies, project management)
• Excellence in research and experience of successful research grant application as well as international research collaboration.
• Experience from collaboration and interaction with private, public and voluntary sector organizations.
• Excellence in relevant teaching, including MBA, executive- and/or online education.
