We are looking for a Treasury Manager New Markets to become a part of Treasury's Corporate Finance team. The Corporate Finance team consists of three members, including this role, and is a part of Essity's Group Treasury function.
Essity Group Treasury is the central treasury function of the Essity Group with the global responsibility to coordinate the financial activities of the Group. Essity Treasury is responsible for long- and short term financing of the Group, relations with the credit markets, handling of FX- and interest rate risks, cash management, pensions fund management and other financial matters. Essity Group Treasury consists of 23 persons.
As a Treasury Manager New Markets you will have a global focus and drive the funding agenda in new markets where funding from Treasury is not possible in order to achieve a safe and cost efficient funding in line with Essity's specific business needs. Essity's business in new markets is growing and is expected to continue to grow also in the future. It is therefore of great importance to Essity to ensure a stable and efficient set-up in these markets not only for funding, but also for FX handling, payments and collections. A good understanding of local funding markets is essential.
The position is located at the head office of Essity in the Waterfront Building in central Stockholm. The head office includes the group staff functions, Finance, Strategy and Business Development, Legal, Sustainability, Human Resources and Communications. Some 130 specialists work in an international environment where business processes are promoted through the global networks in the 60 countries where Essity is represented.
Main Tasks
Coordinate projects regarding financing of Essity companies in new markets using external and/or internal financing solutions
Together with our JV partners decide upon financing solutions of our JV companies in new markets using external and/or internal financing solutions
Coordinate the work to negotiate loan documentation
In line with Essity 's Group Financial Policy, and together with other Essity Treasury specialists, decide upon the most efficient set-up for handling of financial risks and cash management services for Essity companies in new markets
Negotiate with banks and decide upon which bank(s) to use in new markets
Assist in integrating/separating acquired or disposed companies from a Treasury perspective
Participate in cross-functional projects, e.g. with M&A and Tax
Work Experience & Educational Background
University degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or equivalent relevant area
Minimum 3-5 years of relevant working experience, preferably from a bank, a large corporate or a consultancy firm
Experience from working in an international environment
Experience from negotiations with external counterparties
Experience from working in projects
Ability to travel
Very good command of written and spoken English. Additional language skills, e.g. Spanish or Mandarin, are considered an asset
